It All Starts Here

Ovation TV

With a mission to "Make Life Creative," Ovation TV is focused on entertaining, inspiring and engaging the artist in all of us by offering original and acquired programming focused on art, culture and personal creativity. Ovation TV premiered in 1997 and was re-launched on June 20, 2007 to a national audience. As the destination for all things art, Ovation TV appeals to a multi-generational audience. The network delivers content with broad appeal via its traditional linear television network and uses its broadband and video-on-demand (VOD) platforms to serve a rich in-depth brand experience -- targeted to specific artistic genres -- to an audience that is passionate about art, culture and personal creativity.

Ovation TV's primetime programming features a different theme, or "genre," each night -- performance, people, visual arts, music and film -- with weekends devoted to original and event programming. The network showcases the world's greatest artists in theater, dance, opera, literature, film, visual and fine art, music, design, photography and architecture. In addition to original programming, the schedule also leverages an extensive library of high-caliber programming amassed from major studios, independent producers, leading American performing and cultural arts institutions, arts education organizations and other sources from around the world.

Complementing the network's slate of original and newly acquired programming, Ovation TV's groundbreaking partnerships with cultural institutions and art education organizations provide a significant supply of high-caliber, locally relevant content. The partnerships provide distributors with unique opportunities for local involvement and an increased community profile. In addition to participating in the industry's acclaimed Cable in the Classroom initiative, the Ovation TV brand will ultimately serve as a broad resource for educators who will be able to integrate Ovation TV content into their school curriculum.

With Ovation TV, cultural institutions and distribution partners gain previously out-of-reach access to local and national marketing opportunities and programming platforms. Through educational initiatives and with public service support, art education organizations are provided valuable interface with a passionate audience, network distributors and community leaders. The organizations also have opportunities to showcase and share their successful program initiatives and discover other programs nationwide.

Via its website, audiences can experience the depth of Ovation TV’s content, as well as participate in forums for discussion, discovery, and the sharing of creative passions. Among the resources are artist and museum profiles, user- generated content, content provided by cultural institutions and art education organizations, a social network, news and local event calendars.
