Creative Economy Project

The Creative Economy Project Grant (CEP) was created to support projects that will potentially generate real models for living, skill enhancement and income opportunities in communities through the development and implementation of innovative civic design approaches. Up to $100,000 will be awarded for design and implementation or implementation only and will require a 1:1 cash match.

Applications will be accepted from non-profit organizations in the City of Houston who are in collaboration with:

  • neighborhood development organization
  • for-profit businesses engaged in a municipal public realm project willing to have a professional artist/designer appointed to the project
  • educational institutions facilitating a public space
  • professional artists & designers
