Anyone can post on Artshound. You do not need to be an HAA grantee/grantee organization.
How To Post An Event On Artshound
ArtsHound has been designed so that you may include as much detail about your events as you would like. In fact, we encourage you to do so. Think of an artshound listing as a free advertisement to sell yourself and your event.
-
The first thing you do is to click on "submit a listing." This is located in the top navigation on any page of the website.
-
Follow the click-thru menus and fill in as much information as you are able.
-
Always include the following:
-
Date(s) of event.
-
Time(s) of event. If you represent a gallery, please include the time for the opening/artist reception as well as the days and times the gallery is open for regular viewing.
-
Ticket price--or note that the event is free.
-
Contact phone number where the public may call to either gather more information and/or to order tickets.
-
Website link.
-
Full description of the event.
-
We encourage you to include biographical details about the artists/performers as well as any thematic or other details about the event itself. We will edit for length but do not have the time to follow up with organizations for missing information and cannot post incomplete listings. We appreciate your understanding.
-
Always include a photograph:
-
The artshound template can only accept jpeg format pictures. If all you have is some other format, please email this to support@artshound.com and indicate which event you wish the picture paired with.
-
Please identify who or what is in the picture. If it is a representative artwork, identify the artist, the title of the piece, the medium, and the year. If it is a cast/performer shot, please identify the actor(s) and the role(s). We want to give credit whenever possible and dislike posting photos or graphics without identification. Please give credit to the photographer for photos, if you have that information.
-
Be aware that the ArtsHound template works best with vertically-oriented pictures. We will accept horizontally-aligned graphics, but your listing will be more likely to receive visibility (time on the Home Page and inclusion in the weekly newsletter) if the picture is in a vertical orientation.

Many organizations and venues are now set up on artshound, so for most events, all you will need to do is follow the above steps to post the event. However, the same process applies when posting new organizational listings and venue listings. For organization postings, we prefer to feature the organization's logo rather than a photo. For venue listings, we prefer that the graphic be either an interior or exterior shot of the venue itself. Please include a brief description of the organization or venue in the posting and all phone/URL/address details.
